Our Hours
Emergency Service: 24 hours, 7 days a week through the Emergency Department.
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Domestic Violence follow up: By appointment.
Counselling and Domestic Violence nurse followup: By appointment.
Who We See Female survivors of a recent domestic assault
  • Females 16 years of age and over who have been physically assaulted by a current or intimate partner within the past 4 days.
Male and female survivors of a recent sexual assault
  • Paediatric Sexual Assault Day Clinic - non-urgent clinic for children under 12 years of age who have disclosed a recent (longer than 24 hours ago) assault.
  • Within 24 hours of a sexual assault for children under 12 years of age.
  • Within 72 hours of a sexual assault for 12 years of age and over.
What We Do Domestic Violence
  • Documentation and photography of injuries.
  • Referral to a shelter/safe place.
  • Referral to counselling and other community services.
  • Risk assessment; safety planning.
  • Treatment of injuries in the Emergency Department.
Paediatric Sexual Assault Day Clinic
  • Appointments arranged through referral to the Clinic 705-325-2201 ext. 3722.
  • Counselling is available for parents, caregivers and children.
  • Referrals must be made by CAS, Police, or Health Care Professional.
Sexual Assault
  • Forensic evidence collection.
  • Physical examination and treatment of injuries.
  • Pregnancy prevention and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Support and crisis intervention.
Physical Access
  • Wheelchair accessible.
Languages
  • English.
  • Interpreters available in multiple languages.
