Are You Safe?
At Home
Ensure your Home is Secure. Women have been attacked in the ''safety'' of their own homes, so make sure yours is safe. Lock the windows and doors, and don't let anyone in who you don't know. Ask for identification of service people. Don't be afraid to trust your feelings. Talk with your police department for advice on making your home or apartment more secure.
Look Out for Each Other. Know which neighbours you can trust in an emergency. Maybe even agree on a signal you can both use when help is needed. If you are out of town, ask a neighbour to keep an eye on your home and pick up the mail and newspaper.
